Container transportation

KKM Provides SEA CONTAINERS for cargo transportation or warehousing.

In cases when it is necessary to transport cargo over long distances, container transportation is used. A container is a unified unit with the help of which it is possible to transport practically any cargo.

Different types of transport are used for container transportation: sea, rail or road. Multimodal container transport is often used, combining transport with the possibility to deliver containers from the place of loading to the final point of unloading. Using ports of different countries and their terminals, it is possible to deliver from virtually anywhere in the world.

Most of the containers arriving at the port terminals have to be delivered to the place of unloading, the most profitable for this task is to use road transport. Special trailers and semi-trailers are used for this purpose.

Container delivery by road

KKM ensures the delivery and unloading of various types of containers. For container transportation by road, we use standard container transport platforms, small and large truck manipulators, mobile cranes and special side loader trailers.

Container chassis semitrailer

The semi-trailer is equipped with fittings for the transport of 20 ‘, 40’ and 45 ‘sea containers. The special construction of the container carrier allows to transport the highest containers, maintaining a total height of 4000 mm.

Compact car manipulators

Used for transportation: 20′-foot sea containers, 10′-foot storage containers, 3 and 5 t rail containers. Trailer construction: platform with fittings or platform with sides

  • Cargo box length: 6-7.5 m
  • Lifting capacity, t: 10-15 t
  • Working distance: up to 9-12 m
  • Frontal and parallel unloading

Oversized car manipulators:

Used for transportation: 40′-foot or 45′-foot sea containers, 10′-foot storage containers, 3 and 5 t rail containers. Trailer construction: platform with fittings or platform with sides

  • Cargo box length: 12-13.7 m
  • Lifting capacity: 17-21 t
  • Working distance: up to 12-14 m
  • Frontal and parallel unloading

Side loaders (Sideloader):

A side loader is a truck with a trailer equipped with two hydraulic lifts. Containers are loaded or unloaded from the left-hand side of the driver up to a distance of 1 m from the truck. The side loader is able to load or unload containers on top of each other or from another trailer. The trailer is telescopic, so it is possible to transport practically all standard size sea containers: 20 ‘; 40 ‘; 45 ‘; as well as various types of containers: Open Top, Tank containers, Refcontainers and others.

  • Lifting capacity: 32t
  • Working distance: 1-1.m;
  • Parallel unloading

Container dumpers

A special container truck semi-trailer is equipped with a hydraulic mechanical that is able to unload containers vertically, it is possible to unload all types of bulk cargo more conveniently.
